House of Hope - Chicago

The House of Hope is a vision of the Salem Baptist Church of Chicago.

It began in the heart of the Senior Pastor, Rev. Senator James T. Meeks.  As Salem had then grown to over 10,000 members, and continued to grow, additional space was desperately needed to continue the vision.

Always burdened by a passion to create a ministry that extends beyond the walls of the Church, Rev. Meeks' desire was to create a facility that would not only be used for worship on Sundays and Wednesdays, but that it would also bless the community and the City of Chicago by providing a quality family oriented entertainment facility.

The House of Hope has played host to many celebrated artists, groups and events, which included:

The Gospel According to Patti LaBelle, featuring Patti LaBelle also starring Yolanda Adams, Mary Mary and Shirley Caesar

An Evening with Donnie McClurkin and CeCe Winans

Clear Channel  Restoring the Hope Hurricane relief benefit Concert hosted by Kirk Franklin, featuring Donald Lawrence, New Direction, Percy Bady and Jermaine Faber

Mighty Clouds of Joy, Lee Williams and The Spiritual QC's, The Soul Seekers, Doc McKenzie, Father Hayes and The Warriors, The Jackson Southernaires, and The Canton Spirituals, During the Mother’s Day Gospel Bowl

Brian McKnight, Darius Brooks, Joann Rosario, Santita Jackson, The Winans, and many more during the annual Christmas Glory, which was taped at the House of Hope and broadcast during the holidays.

Vickie Winans CD and DVD live-recording concert where Bishop T.D Jakes hosted the evening

Morgan Park High School and Gwendolyn Brooks High School Graduations
